Amalfi Ristorante. The menu, readable before you arrive.
An Italian ristorante on Bustleton Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia, with the full lunch and dinner menus set on the page instead of hidden behind a PDF.
The brief
A neighbourhood ristorante needed a site that could carry the room’s character — Amalfi Coast blue, lemon, hand-drawn line work — and still answer the two questions every diner has before booking: what is on the menu, and when are you open.
Our contribution
Design and build, including the menu system, the gallery and the reservation flow.
The solution
Lunch and dinner are separate tabbed menus with live prices, set in the restaurant’s own typography rather than scanned from paper. Address, hours and phone repeat at the top, the middle and the foot of the page, because that is where people look for them.
Delivered
A responsive site with lunch, dinner and beverage menus, an interior and dish gallery, reservation details, hours for all seven days, and the BYOB and card-surcharge notes stated up front rather than at the table.
